A woman has been arrested after a man was stabbed yesterday morning at a house in Braunstone.
The victim remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Police were called at around 4.45am on Wednesday (15 May) by East Midlands Ambulance Service to a report of a man injured in Liberty Road.
The man, who is believed to be in his fifties, sustained a single stab wound. He was taken the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident. She has now been released on bail following questioning.
Officers say their enquires are in the early stages, however police would like to speak to anyone with information that could help their investigation.
The incident follows another stabbing close by in Glenfield this week, which took place at the Co-op on Station Road on Tuesday (14 May). A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with that incident.
